PETNET Direct Passwords

Attention all PETNET Direct Users:

As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting patient information and maintaining compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), we are required to enforce password changes for all system users.

Effective immediately, all users must reset their passwords every 90 days. This security measure helps reduce the risk of unauthorized access and ensures continued protection of sensitive health information.

When creating your new password, please follow these guidelines:
• Passwords must be at least 12 characters in length, alpha/numeric and contain at least one of the following special characters:
~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * <> ? | - _ + =
• Avoid using personal information (e.g., names, birthdays) or previously used passwords.

Effective Thursday, October 16, 2025, the password reset process will be updated to provide additional security. The Forgot Password button will trigger an automated email containing a link to reset your password.

Note: For your security, the link will expire within 15 minutes.
